How to Get Rid of Freckles From Face Naturally?

March 24th, 2012 admin Beauty 0

Freckles, as unbelievable as it may sound, are an accepted part of Western popular culture. You think we’re joking, don’t you? How about this then?: just how many books and films have you seen where they have a “farmer’s daughter” type character who strolls around in the mountains and is known by everybody because she has freckles? If you encounter a child who has freckles, there’s a preconceived notion that they are cheerful, innocent, and full of boundless energy. Say what you will, but people just find kids with freckles really charming. Of course, it can be no surprise when the freckles that gave you so much popularity then are now giving you so much “notoriety” as an adult. Strange how things change when you grow up, isn’t it?

A freckle, by definition, is a brown or tan macule on the skin that results from too much exposure to sunlight. There is an inherited tendency to freckling, and it is most frequently seen in persons with red hair. Freckles are generally harmless, but there are some people who “freckle” quite easily because of—you got it—sun exposure.

It can be quite understandable why some people would want their freckles removed; it is just like a remnant of their childhood that they have outgrown, but they still can’t move over it as long as they have these on their skins. Modern science may have provided us with the solution in removing the freckles surgically, but really, would you spend a three- to four-figure pay check just so you can remove something that isn’t even threatening your life in the first place? We thought so. It’s a good thing then that we also have natural treatments that can be used for removing our freckles, and the best part of it is that they can be easily found from home! Too good to be true, isn’t it? Okay then, why don’t you try reading on just so your doubts can be easily assuaged? You’ll see that it’s no hoax. Oh, you’ll see…

Some of these treatments can be literally easy to swallow, like sour milk for instance. No, it’s not the same as “spoiled” milk; sour milk is the general term for lactic acid products like yogurt. However, you have to fashion sour milk into a “mask” of sorts, so you can just as easily put it on your skin. Lemon juice, amazingly, is also an awesome freckle remover; just rub the raw fruit over your skin, and that can easily remove your freckles gradually. However, if you can’t take the stinging pain that comes with rubbing a piece of lemon fry on your skin (because of its acidic compound), try “juicing’ the fruit so you can be able to “pat” the resulting liquid with your fingers.

There are also other organic foodstuffs that you can put on your freckled skin, like

  1. vegetables (e.g. cucumber),
  2. fruits (e.g. watermelon),
  3. rice grains,
  4. honey, or
  5. onion.

Coincidentally, most of these foods are also used for the natural treatment of acne, so you’ll know that whatever there is inside the bodies’ of those ingredients, it should be something good. Please consult your dermatologist if you have any more questions.

October 14th, 2011 admin Beauty 0

Summer has passed and with it our active lifestyles often fly out of the window too. Gone are our shorts and T-shirts, only to be replaced with snug dressing gowns and jumpers. We find ourselves staying indoors more frequently and we are tempted to neglect any commitments to exercise or outdoor activities.

In winter, we often find ourselves unable to keep in shape. However, there are some simple ways we can stay trim over the colder season.

Even though it is winter, set up an exercise routine and stick to it. Since it is getting chillier outside, people don’t usually want to jog outside at six in the morning. Instead try indoor activities, such as going to the gym or an indoor swimming pool, which are heated and welcoming during the cold months.

Find yourself a sensible diet. At Christmas you can relax and indulge a little but try and not make this your standard diet for the whole of winter! Make sure you are getting plenty of protein, fruit, vegetables and good sources of carbohydrates, such as whole grains. Avoid foods that are high in fat or sugar and drink plenty of water.
If you are going to the gym or working out, then it is necessary for you provide your body with enough fuel for energy, muscle gain and repair.

BSN Syntha-6 is ultra-premium lean muscle protein powder. It will provide your body with the level of protein it needs for fuel, healing and repair.

Use BSN Cellmass after training to add lean muscle gain and repair. After training, your muscles will be damaged and need healing. A supplement will give your body the help it needs.

Just because winter has arrived, it doesn’t mean you can’t stay in shape. Beat the winter blues and keep yourself trim with some small changes that will go a long way over winter.

Scrubs For Men: For Vibrant, Healthy Skin and Clean Shaving

July 13th, 2011 admin Beauty 0

Men’s skin accumulates a large amount of every day debris than can really impact on its appearance and health, to the point where it can hinder other necessary grooming activities, such as shaving.

Sebum (natural oil), dirt, sweat, dead skin cells and cosmetic residues collect on the outer surface of the skin and cannot be removed with soap and water, so a specialist facial scrub product designed for men should be included in a general grooming routine, with frequency dependent on skin type, age and lifestyle.

Exfoliation is important for men as it exposes the hair follicles which are buried under this residue, allowing them to get a better result from shaving. A simple exfoliation can be performed using a clean pure badger shaving brush, sweeping the tool in circles across the shaving area to remove dead cells. However, there are many facial scrubs for men on the market that will match particular skin type, age and lifestyle and make for better, lasting results.

Generally speaking, a facial scrub on a regular basis will remove the skin’s debris and allow it to breathe, heal and maintain itself and cut down on the clogging up of sebaceous pores, which can lead to blemishes, spots, blackheads and acne.

Facial scrubs for men are best when made from natural ingredients – often certified organic and even vegan – which are more likely to work in balance with the body, which will help the vulnerable skin on the face retain what it needs and simply remove what it does not. The products are varied because men’s skins are varied!

These ingredients can include aloe vera, algae and chamomile to certified organic jojoba and chamomile extracts, honey, kaolin, sunflower seed oil and pure essential oils to give a distinctive, lasting scent as well as potent health properties.

Laser Hair Removal

March 27th, 2010 admin Beauty 0

Laser hair removal is a technique that uses beams of highly concentrated light to penetrate the hair follicles. The light is absorbed by pigment in the hair follicles and destroys the hair within the follicle. Removing unwanted hair thus leaves you with bumps, burns, or the hassles of repeated shaving, tweezing, or waxing. Hence, laser hair removal may be an option worth considering.

Although Lasers are useful for removing unwanted hair from different parts of the body, you must consider the following things before undergoing this procedure.

* Prior to having laser hair removal, you should thoroughly check the credentials of the doctor performing the procedure and the hospital where you are planning to avail the service.

* Once you have planned laser hair removal, you should limit plucking, waxing and electrolysis for six weeks before treatment. That is because the laser targets the hairs’ roots, which are temporarily removed by waxing or plucking.

* You should also avoid sun exposure for six weeks before and after treatment. Sun exposure decreases the effectiveness of laser hair removal and increases the risk of complications following treatment.

* Laser hair removal works better on some people than others. No one knows for sure what the regrowth rates are. Some people notice regrowth after several months or years, while others find they never have to shave again.

* Costs of Laser hair removal vary widely depending on a number of factors like size of the area being treated and time required for treatment and number of sessions required. Because each person’s pattern of hair growth is unique, it is difficult to predict exactly how many treatments will be needed to completely get rid of unwanted hair or the exact cost of doing so. For a better idea of the cost for your particular hair problem, you should schedule a consultation with a doctor, who must be an expert dermatologist with skill and experience in laser skin treatment.

Skin Care In The Monsoon Season

August 8th, 2009 admin Beauty 0

You may love the rain but too much moisture in this weather may cause harm to your beloved skin. Depending on the skin type, humid and wet weather causes unusual activities on the surface of the skin and leads to oily, patchy, and dry skin. Soaked skin particularly of the feet and legs, is very much prone to fungal infections. With a little precaution and simple measures we can save ourselves a lot of misery over bad skin.

One important problem of the rainy season is dull and lifeless skin. This is mainly due to the high humidity in the atmosphere and uneven distribution of moisture. The first and foremost thing to get rid of this is cleanliness. We should follow a regular routine of cleansing, toning and moisturising the skin. It is best to use a gentle non drying soap and splash plain water several times a day on the face. It is best to follow up this measure with use an exfoliating face scrub to remove dead cells and increase collagen production. Do not apply oil on your skin, especially face. If you apply oil, your skin will remain oily throughout the day. This way you will allow your skin to accumulate dust and different other harmful elements.

Since your face is exposed all the time, there are all the chances that you pick up an infection on it. If you have got wet due to rains, dry yourself up, as soon as possible. Do not think that since you are already washed up with rain water there is no need to wash up your face and hands. In fact, it is advisable that you take a bath after getting wet due to rain water.

Reason number one is that it washes out all rain water from your skin, hair and head. This will prevent rain water from being absorbed by your head, which otherwise become a cause of headache, fever and related troubles. Another reason is that you will save your skin from the contact of any harmful elements contained by the rain water.

Your skin feels sticky during the rains, but this is not because your oil glands are overactive. During the rains, due to the humidity in the air, you sweat more. This leaves a sticky, moist layer on your skin. To feel better, wash your face with plain water. Avoid using soap because too much soap can dry up your skin — and steal its natural oils.

One may notice pimples, and breakouts on the skin, which is mainly due to dirt and pollutants attracted by the sweat. The tip to solve this problem during the rainy season lies in cleaning and maintaining a clean skin.

One of the biggest skin complaints during the monsoon is fungal infections. A fungus thrives in humidity — wet skin folds rubbing against each other get macerated easily, providing easy entry to fungi and yeast. As a result, you develop itchy, circular, reddish, flaking patches on the body, especially in skin folds at the groin, underarms and around the breast in women.

Fungal infections can also affect your feet, especially if you wear closed shoes all day. Staying dry is the best way to avoid them. Carry a set of dry clothes and footwear to the office and change immediately if you have gotten drenched on your way.

Once you are seated at your desk, take your shoes and socks off to allow air circulation around your feet. Wear sandals or floaters as far as possible. Use plenty of dusting talc to prevent accumulation of sweat and moisture in skin folds. Those prone to repeated fungal infections can use medicated powders prescribed by a dermatologist. To prevent this thoroughly wash your feet with soap and hot water after wading through stagnant water and then dry them completely. If the water was particularly dirty, it is advisable after the wash to soak your feet for a few minutes in a tub of warm water.

Scabies is another common infection that preys on both children and adults during the monsoon — it is caused by a mite infestation. If your child complains about a body itch that intensifies at night and you see a few red bumps or a rash on his/her hands, wrists, underarms, abdomen, groin and buttocks, then rush to the dermatologist — this condition is highly contagious and invariably spreads to the family if not treated properly.

Drink a lot fluid as the rainy season can be deceptively dehydrating. Fruits like guavas, papayas, apples, oranges and also include dry-fruits like nuts, almonds are also a good option that are rich in anti-oxidants and nutrients that fight against microorganism and prevent infections. Skin is a sensitive and important organ that should be taken care of properly particularly in this season. A bit of negligence on this part can become a cause of trouble for you.
